VOICEOVER BASICS FOR BOOKINGS
NEXT 6-WEEK CLASS STARTING OCTOBER 7, 2023!
Learn essential auditioning techniques to boost your booking potential.
Throughout this six week, 2-hour Saturday morning class, Scott will provide insights on how to best connect with voice buyers based on his 30+ years as both an actor and commercial
producer on the other side of the glass. You’ll gain methodologies to achieve conversational vs ‘announcery’ reads as well as discover voices you never even knew you had! If asked he’ll also share samples of unconventional auditioning that booked him work with Miller Lite, Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, Washington Lottery and more.
To further enhance your auditioning experiences, during the week Scott will assign fake (or faux) auditions throughout the course of the class to center on auditioning protocols
pertaining to file naming, slating, following spec guidelines, audio quality and more. These “Fauxditions” offer a real-world learning experience to help assure your auditions won’t end up in the trash before even being presented to the client. (It happens!)
NOTE: These “Fauxditions” homework assignments will require some form of recording capability! It’s important you participate in this element of the class as others benefit from hearing your work. If you don’t have any gear yet recordings from your iPhone will suffice for class purposes.
HERE’S HOW THE CLASS WILL BE LAID OUT FOR EACH SATURDAY.
